We are pleased to announce that the Warsaw Ghetto Museum took third place in the 2022 Visible Museum Review in the "Museum Identification" category. Thank you very much!
The official announcement of the competition winners took place on October 24, 2022, in the Four Domes Pavilion of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Wrocław. The Warsaw Ghetto Museum was represented by Deputy Director Hanna Wróblewska.
The visual identity concept for the Warsaw Ghetto Museum was selected in an international competition conducted jointly with the Association of Applied Graphic Designers. The competition was announced in September 2019. In the first stage, 216 entries were submitted, of which the jury selected six. The winning concept—translating the mission of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum from official language into an emotional message that evokes individual memory—was created by designers from the Lithuanian studio DADADA.
The Visible Museum Review was established in 2013 as a project of the National Institute of Museums and Public Collections. Its main goal is to popularize the best visual identification systems and graphic solutions implemented by museums. The project also includes workshops and training in marketing and branding for museum staff.
In this year's edition of the competition, prizes and distinctions were awarded in 5 categories: "Museum Identification", "Temporary Exhibition Identification", "Website Graphics", "Promotional and Marketing Campaigns" and "Social Media Profile Management".
First place in the “Museum Identification” category in 2022 was awarded to the Museum of Engineering and Technology in Krakow , and second place to the Sybir Memorial Museum in Białystok.
