Elizabeth Ettinger (1925–2005)

Novelist, literature professor, biographer, and member of the resistance movement during World War II. Born on September 19, 1925, in Łódź, the daughter of Emmanuel Ettinger and Regina Stahl, she was sent to the Warsaw Ghetto in 1939, from which she and her mother managed to escape in 1942, shortly before the Grossaktion. Ceremony commemorating the 82nd anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland

On September 17th, a ceremony commemorating the 82nd anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland took place at Matka Sybiraczki Square. Representatives of local government, state institutions, and religious leaders attended. The Warsaw Ghetto Museum was represented by Deputy Director Dr. Hanna Węgrzynek, who laid flowers at the Monument to the Fallen and Murdered in the East. Download the article
