Study visits within the consortium project “ECHOES”

On 24–25 November 2025, workers of the Research Department of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews visited Vilnius to participate in a programme of study visits carried out within the framework of the consortium project “ECHOES” (Echoes of Memory: Interactive Conversations with Holocaust Survivors through AI).

The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme. It aims to create an innovative AI chatbot that will enable the analysis and interaction with the testimonies of Holocaust Survivors — a tool that may open completely new perspectives for research on memory and the history of the Holocaust.

During the visit, we held a series of meetings with experts from Vilnius University and the Vilniaus Gaono žydų istorijos muziejus/Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History. These were exceptionally substantive and inspiring conversations that bring real value to the work on the project and create space for further cooperation between the Warsaw Ghetto Museum and our Lithuanian partners.
