Photo coverage | Training for teachers in Chełmno nad Nerem and Łódź
On October 9 and 10, a field seminar for teachers took place. This time we went to the former Kulmhof extermination camp in Chełmno nad Nerem and to Łódź.
33 teachers and educators from all over Poland took part in the seminar. They came from cities such as Warsaw, Gdańsk, Zabrze, Gliwice, Mława, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Koluszki, Łochów, Grójec, Otwock.
The first day of the seminar was devoted to visiting the exhibition of the museum of the former German death camp Kulmhof in Chełmno on the Ner River. We also visited the place of extermination of Jews in Rzuchowski Forest.
The second day was dedicated to the Łódź Ghetto, where teachers and educators were guided by Dr. Adam Sitarek from the University of Łódź. Part of the walk was a visit to the Marek Edelman Centre and Radegast railroad station. The last point was the visit to the Jewish Cemetery.
We stayed at the Linat Orchim Guest House, run by the Jewish Religious Community and located in a historic complex of palace buildings built by Karol Gebhardt.
