Dr. Katarzyna Person is the deputy director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum
The Warsaw Ghetto Museum and the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute announce that Katarzyna Person, PhD, will assume the position of Deputy Director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum for Research and Exhibition as of February 1, 2024. At the same time, Dr. Katarzyna Person will continue the publishing project of the English-language edition of the Ringelblum Archive at the Jewish Historical Institute. The Warsaw Ghetto Museum has been cooperating with the Jewish Historical Institute since 2018, pursuing the goal of disseminating knowledge about the history of Polish Jews.
Katarzyna Person, PhD, is a historian. She headed the Research Department of the Jewish Historical Institute and the Ringelblum Archive Full Edition project. She is the author of, among other books, Assimilated Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, 1940-1943 (2014), Policemen: The Image of the Jewish Order Service in the Warsaw Ghetto (2018), DPs: Polish Jews in the American and British Occupation Zones of Germany, 1945-1948 (2019), Industrial Concentration Camp: the Camp, the Children, the Trials (2023).
