The Warsaw Ghetto Museum invites you to another Warsaw-themed walk – this time it will be the story of Janina Bauman!
Janina Bauman – writer, translator, and screenwriter; wife of the eminent sociologist Zygmunt Bauman; daughter of Szymon Levinson, a Polish Army officer murdered in Katyn. As a teenager, she was forced to settle with her family in the Warsaw Ghetto. She collected her memories of this period in the novel "Winter in the Morning: The Tale of a Girl from the Warsaw Ghetto."
The Warsaw Ghetto Museum invites you to another Warsaw-themed walk in the footsteps of the Warsaw Ghetto, dedicated to Janina Bauman. We will visit places connected with her youth, which occurred during the German occupation. The walk will be led by guide Agnieszka Kuś. Participation is free.
The walk will take place on Sunday, October 24th, starting at 12:00 noon in the courtyard of the former Bersohn and Bauman Hospital in Warsaw (ul. Sienna 60).
