Noemi Wigdorowicz-Makowerowa (1912-2015)

A physician and dentist, she was a longtime researcher at the Medical Academy in Wrocław. She was born in Warsaw on November 24, 1912, to a Jewish family. In 1937, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Warsaw and from the Academy of Dentistry in 1939. In 1940, she was relocated to the Warsaw Ghetto. 77th anniversary of the recapture of the PAST building by the Warsaw Uprising

August 20th is the day Warsaw insurgents captured the PAST building at 39 Zielna Street. Today, commemorations of the 77th anniversary of this event took place. Representatives of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, located in the building, laid a wreath at the plaque commemorating the August 1944 fighting. Download the article
