Bogdan (Dawid) Wojdowski (30/11/1930–21/04/1994)

Writer, literary and theater critic, and publicist. Born in Warsaw, the son of a carpenter and upholsterer, Wojdowski was imprisoned in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II. In the summer of 1942, he and his younger sister were led out of the ghetto to the Aryan side. Under an assumed name, he hid in Warsaw's districts and in a village near Wyszków.
