The Ceremony of Awarding the “Righteous Among the Nations” Medals and Honorary Diplomas
On December 15 at 13:00, a ceremony to award the “Righteous Among the Nations” medals and honorary diplomas – the highest Israeli civilian award given to people who saved Jews from extermination during the World War II – was held at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. The event was jointly organised by the Israeli Embassy in Poland and the Yad Vashem Institute, which has been awarding this honour since 1963. The Warsaw Ghetto Museum was represented by its director Albert Stankowski.
