Photo coverage – 77th anniversary of “Gęsiówka” recapturing
On August 5, 1944, the soldiers of the “Zośka” battalion recaptured the labor camp KL Warschau, commonly known as Gęsiówka, freeing 348 Jewish prisoners. Most of them joined the fighting of the insurgents.
On the 77th anniversary of this event, the Warsaw Ghetto Museum was represented by the Deputy Director of Economic, Organizational and Investment Affairs, Joanna Dudelewicz, who laid a wreath under the memorial plaque of KL Warschau (Anielewicza Street).
