Israeli and German Presidents at the WGM Excavation Site

Israeli President Isaak Herzog, President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski visited the Anielewicz Mound in Warsaw and then had a tour at the WGM excavation site at former 18 Miła St.

Their guide was Jacek Konik, PhD, from the WGM Scientific Department, who presented several artifacts found during the archaeological research conducted by WGM in summer 2022.

During the excavations, several thousands of objects belonging to the former ghetto prisoners were found. Some of them are being presented at the “Memory 1943” exhibition in the Kordegarda Gallery in Warsaw which will last till May 7, 2023.
