Commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Tykocin massacre

On August 25 and 26, 1941, units of German police battalions carried out the so-called Tykocin Massacre –  a mass murder of the Jewish population of Tykocin. Almost 1,400 people were murdered in two days. At the commemoration marking the 80th anniversary of this event, organized by the Museum in Tykocin, a branch of the Podlasie Museum in Białystok, the Warsaw Ghetto Museum was represented by Dr. Halina Postek, Head of the Education Department.
