“Two Flags,” a documentary film directed by Jolanta Kessler, tells the story of the history and struggle of the Jewish Military Union during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943.
The film fills in the gaps regarding this organization, which played a significant role in Jewish armed resistance during World War II. The story is based on archival recordings of ŻZW fighters, previously unknown documents, and unique photos obtained from Polish and foreign archives.
The film is co-produced by the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute. Grupa Filmowa is the executive producer.
