Tender procedure for the contractor of construction and installation works

The Warsaw Ghetto Museum has entered the next stage of preparations for the opening of its permanent exhibition at the historic Bersohn and Bauman Children's Hospital in Warsaw.

On December 23rd of this year, a tender was announced for the contractor for the construction and installation works. The investment project entitled " Establishment of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum on the premises of the former Children's Hospital of the Bersohn and Bauman Foundation at 60 Sienna Street/51 Śliska Street in Warsaw," which includes the preparation of designs, construction and installation work, the construction of a permanent exhibition, and the purchase and installation of initial equipment, along with supervision, has moved on to the next stage of implementation. The Museum is currently collecting initial applications from bidders wishing to carry out the construction and conservation works, including the internal and external infrastructure, and the construction of a permanent exhibition for the Warsaw Ghetto Museum.

All critical aspects of the investment will be discussed through competitive dialogue. The Bersohn and Bauman Hospital building and the ophthalmology building, designated for the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, are listed in the register of historical monuments, along with the land within the boundaries of plots marked on the cadastral map with numbers 38/4 and 38/3. The entry number in the register maintained by the Mazovian Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments is 1447, dated April 10, 2017. The historic heart of the Bersohn and Bauman Hospital and the ophthalmology building is located in the very center of Warsaw, which poses significant organizational challenges for the future contractor for the construction and conservation works.

The design includes approximately 3,400 m² of usable space for the permanent exhibition. The total planned usable space is approximately 11,500 m².

The Warsaw Ghetto Museum will be able to carry out the institution’s statutory activities in spaces such as the permanent and temporary exhibition, educational space, office space, technical space, collection storage space, conservation workshops, auditorium, library, and media library.

The designed complex ensures the highest standards of safety and accessibility.
